If you own a Subaru Legacy or Outback (or both) model year 2010-2011 with a manual transmission, you may want to head over to your nearest dealership.
According to the automaker, the recall involves the six-speed manual transmission found in the vehicle. The supplier of the system notified Subaru that a "lubrication hole" was missing. According to Subaru, which then tested the system, the third gear would break after 37,500 miles.Approximately 800 vehicles have been affected. The lack of a lubrication hole was due to a programming error, states Subaru.Subaru will have its dealers resolve the issue.Source: New York Times
