There are nearly one billion cars roaming the planet today, and when you look past the business and political aspects of vehicles, they're all very similar, with engines that propel them forward, passenger seating, and four wheels.

You may think that people love cars simply because, "It all seems just like religion and professional sports: a huge con based on a pointless loyalty. You can’t tell me that there are more than a couple of sound designs that are simple and would last for ages and that all the variety and complexity is totally unnecessary.”

Only some cars have proven themselves worthy enough to keep the same design over a long period of time, but no car has ever been labeled "perfect".

The top 5 almost perfect cars are:

  1. 1962-1964 Ferrari 250 GTO
  2. 1963-Present Porsche 911
  3. 1938-2002 Volkswagen Beetle (Type 1)
  4. 1944-1986 Jeep CJ Series
  5. 1968-1985 Mercedes-Benz W114/W115 and W123 Series
