True, in these difficult times, shady used car dealers typical new car dealers are desperately trying to get the attention of people like you. With the current air of uncertainty over the industry, every potential sale must be made -- moderation and visual decency be damned. But don't think crappy ads are a modern phenomenon, they've been around for, well, pretty much since ads existed!

Still, there are times when car dealers take it a little too far with their advertising. Sometimes, it’s just a matter of going “over the top” with the advertising. Other times, they try to be slick and fail.

Then, of course, there are those that just simply fail in an epic fashion. Kinda like communism (some of those Eastern European cars had some pretty sweet advertisements though.)
