General Motors Company says that powertrain enhancements to the 2010 Chevrolet Silverado and the GMC Sierra have helped the two pickups achieve best-in-class fuel-economy based on EPA estimates.

Both models with a 5.3L V8 now achieve an EPA-estimated fuel-economy of 15/21 mpg (city/highway), as compared to 14/20 mpg from their previous models...
