Warning: hot engine pron below - Back in May, we reported that the Lexus LF-A (LFA) will make its official debut at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show (which it of course did) and will hit the streets in 2010 (maybe, probably not). We also got some sweet 1LR-GEU engine pics then, remember?
Please go change your underwear now... Oh wait, didn't, ah, wet them yet? Watch (or rather, LISTEN, to this): LFA's 1LR-GEU engine sound
According to our trusted sources (this include also Japan’s Best Car Magazine), the LFA's N/A 4.8-liter V10 engine, codenamed ‘1LR-GEU’, delivers an impressive 550 hp. And the car is light. Also, we're sure there's more than a little bit of V10 F1 engine technology supplied :) -- After all, years ago Toyota and every other F1 team were using F10 engines versus the smaller V8s of today and that was time when the LFA was conceived and developed.
