A total of five 2009 VW Scirocco cars raced on the Nurburgring alongside Porsches, BMWs, and even alternative fuel cars. Throngs of spectators and drivers flocked to the famous Nurburgring circuit to witness the high speed clashes.

Two natural gas 2009 VW Scirocco race cars competed in the alternative fuel class at the Nurburgring, one of which received 17th place. A gasoline powered 2009 VW Scirocco finished 1st place in the 2.0L turbo class race, as well as 15th overall.

The 2009 VW Scirocco definitely proved its prowess as an all-round high performance sports car.
