Volkswagen has announced the new 2010 VW Amarok pickup truck as launching overseas early next year.
In the Inuit tongue, "Amarok" stands for "wolf", which the Eskimos referred to as the king of the forest. Amarok was a worshiped figure of muscular strength and breadth, bearing hardship, and predominance. In the South American tongue, "Amarok" stands for "he loves stones." Amarok is not a bad name for Volkswagen's new truck if it's as good as hoped. In fact, the real and implied strength and force of this pickup truck does show great resemblance to that of a wolf. A double cab 4x4 version of the Amarok truck will be the first to be sold, then followed shortly by the single cab later in 2010. Odds are you will catch VW's new turbo diesel engines in one of these truck models. Volkswagen plans to sell its first 2010 VW Amarok in South America in early 2010, followed of course by European markets. Details at eGmcartech.com
