Ford to say Good-Bye to Mercury Sable

Ford Motor Co. will end production of the Mercury Sable sedan this week, stripping its mid-market brand of yet another model.

"The last Sable will roll down the line on Thursday," said Ford spokeswoman Angie Kozleski.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ford got rid of Mercury all together. Really all you need is the blue oval for the muscle, truck, and SUV while Lincoln takes care of the luxury. Mercury is completely overshadowed by Lincoln.

there's been rumors that's ford's plans; i.e., phase out mercury, leaving ford and lincoln.
