You may remember last week's post about a Camaro5 forum member's new Camaro SS shutting down with just 40 miles on the odometer. Her local Chevrolet dealer explained the problem was caused by a faulty battery cable rubbing against the car's starter. Apparently, this was not an isolated incident.

Today, Chevrolet is officially issuing a recall for the problem.

HAHAHA.....and this is suppose to be the most anticipated muscle car coming out? Come on people...I can honestly say this is disappointing. GM has enough problems in there hands only to see there newest product get a recall. I wonder if this drawback is going to hurt sales at this point.

Yeah, whoopsie! But really, it's not a big deal... People who bought or are in the market for a new Camaro won't be deterred. They have pretty intense passion (the same as Mr. savagepony has for the Mustang) and a faulty battery cable won't dull it down. Heck, passionate Mazda RX-7 owners learn to live with THEIR car given the fact they are very likely to need an entire engine rebuild every few years given the engine's cooling woes.
