South Africa Shows Electric Car

Electric Cars seem to be the way most automakers are going while few are still going for the hybrid cars. Now are electric cars better than hybrids? Depends on how you see the question.

The Joules, vehicle South Africa presented at the Paris Auto Show, is the electric car that is causing sensation. According to the statistics provided, the Joules goes from 0 to 60 in 4.8 seconds and gets a range of 250 miles, pretty impressive if you ask me. Adding to the impressiveness, the price is said to be between $22,000 and $28,000. The release date isn't exact but it will be in 2010. What you think about this? Will it be a Chevy Volt competitor?
